Type 59 n°59123 Exceptional scale model

This Bugatti Type 59 was initially sold to Earl Howe, a privileged customer of Ettore Bugatti. He had her run for the first time at the Grand Prix de Monaco 1935. Unfortunately, he had to give up due to brake problems, but Type 59 was repaired and prepared for the Picardie Grand Prix in May of the same year. For the 1936 season, Earl Howe added a British ERA to his stable, and Type 59 was less used. His last race was the Swiss Grand Prix in August 1936. It was then sold to South Africa, where it remained from 1937 to 1962. She then returned to England and passed to W.A.F. « Doc » Taylor, who had her restored.

In 1966, it was sold to Sir Ralph Millais, who regularly competed in the Prescott Coast Race. Under his leadership, the car was driven by several historic drivers, including Patrick Lindsay and A.F. Rivers Fletcher. In 1975, the car was sold to Neil Corner, which kept it until the mid-1990s.

It was produced on 1/8 and was the subject of a real intention to represent all the mechanical details. It will be delivered with a demountable body to admire all the mechanical components and components that make up this exceptional automobile.
